About the Workshop:

The Happiness Series.  In her book, The How of Happiness, Sonja Lyubomirsky asserts that “the key to happiness lies not in changing our genetic makeup (which is impossible) and not in changing our circumstance but in our daily intentional activities.” Based on ground-breaking, scientific research in the field of Positive Psychology, Lyubomirsky identifies and explores 12 intentional behaviors that help us tap into our innate capacity for happiness and well-being.  In this 12-month Body Language series we will explore one of these intentional behaviors per month. This monthly hour-and-a-half exploration will include an all-levels yoga class with meditation and suggestions/strategies for at-home practices and activities. At the end of these 12-months, students will have a powerful repertoire for creating a life of long-lasting joy.

About the Presenter:

Dr. Ronda Diegel is a  Registered Yoga Teacher 500, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, and Certified Enneagram Teacher . Dr. Ronda Diegel worked to integrate her knowledge as a psychologist with her calling as a yoga teacher by teaching therapeutic applications of yoga, with an emphasis on using yogic practices to heal the emotional body.  Dr. Ronda Diegel has sought additional certification through teacher training programs in Yoga for Depression & Anxiety, Yoga for Scoliosis, and Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation. Workshop 10 in this series is focused on the Happiness Strategy of Committing to Your Goals.  After a brief introduction, there is an hour-long yoga class, a 10 minute meditation, and some home practices to help you dedicate time, effort, and passion to pursuing your goals.
