Ronda Diegel

I'm a Registered Yoga Teacher 500, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, and Certified Enneagram Teacher . As yoga teacher since 2005, I work to integrate my knowledge as a psychologist with my calling as a yoga teacher by teaching therapeutic applications of yoga, with an emphasis on using yogic practices to heal the emotional body. I've sought additional certification through teacher training programs in Yoga for Depression & Anxiety, Yoga for Scoliosis, and Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation. Ricky Penn

Body Language has been an important part of my life for a LONG time. I started as a member here in 1985 (!) Three owners and 3 locations later, I am still here - working out, practicing yoga, managing the desk, and teaching yoga. Guess you could say I really like this place! I decided to train for and teach yoga to others because it has had such a profound and positive effect on my own life. When I am not here, I am busy with my business as a fiber artist at home in West Bloomfield. My life is blessed with great friends, three wonderful children, and, as a yoga instructor, the opportunity to help my students find their way into yoga and all it has to offer.

Jamie Oldfield

Jamie’s journey of yoga began over 10 years ago, culminating in her certification as a Yoga Teacher. To Jamie, yoga is about revealing your own inner happiness through good music and compassionate surroundings, to find the joy yoga has brought her. She is inspired daily by her husband, 2 children and dog. She believes that what you put out is what you get and that everything we learn on the mat helps us to be healthier and happier off the mat!

Angela Cooper

Hi, I am Angela! I was fortunate enough to find yoga through Body Language in early 2015 and immediately fell in love. What began as an effort to carve out one hour for myself in my week as a stay-at-home mom of three, quickly turned into a passion and journey into self-love that has enhanced my life in every possible way. After seeing the powerful and life changing effects of yoga in my own life, I knew I needed to share this gift with others. I completed my yoga teacher training in the fall of 2016 here at Body Language and I am honored to be able to share yoga with others and to be a part of the amazing, fun, energizing and supportive community here at Body Language. I can’t wait to meet you!!

My favorite food is ice cream.  Something you might not know about me:  I have been on MTV, in several newspapers and Spin magazine because I was Eminem's #1 Fan and in the front row of most of his concerts!!

Melinda Szwak

Melinda's favorite movie is Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Her favorite food is guacamole and her dream vacation is to tour Italy with her husband.


 Hi Everyone! My name is Melinda I was born and raised in Michigan. I have a wonderful husband and five children, so my home is filled with lots of energy (you can imagine). I have always worked out trying different programs and classes. I fell in love with Zumba at Body Language and became a certified Zumba instructor in 2011. Zumba has brought a unique balance to my life, allowing me to put my dancing shoes on and just have fun!

Susan Brennan

Did you know Susan won an award for designing a dress made out of toilet paper?  Her dream vacation is to go back to Norway, and her favorite book is The Alchemist.
Hello! I have always enjoyed fitness and have been a cheerleader for many years. I'm currently a member of the Detroit Pistons Cheer Team. I began practicing yoga (at Body Language) in 2009 after my lung randomly collapsed. I used it as a way to heal and strengthen my body. I consider my personal practice to be playful with strong determination. That comes across in my teaching as well. I feel it is a great honor to be able to share this wonderful gift with others. I look forward to seeing you on your mat!

Amy Pronovost

Amy Pronovost graduated from Western Michigan University with a B.A. in Dance and English. She has taught ballet since 1998 and pilates since 2000. Amy is a fully certified Level 2 Stott Pilates Instructor Trainer, Level 1 Gyrtonic Instructor, and Xtend Barre Instructor. She recently obtained her yoga certification through Body Language and is now a 200hr-RYT.
Did you know that Amy teaches ballet, pilates and yoga? Her favorite food is macaroni and cheese and hiking in Moab, Utah is on her bucket list.

Nancy Powell

Nancy's favorite class is Slow Flow Fusion, her dream vacation is to go to Paris and her favorite food is chocolate!!
I received my certification in August of 2004 after training with Jonny Kest at the Center for Yoga in West Bloomfield, Michigan. I have been teaching Yoga for 7 years. I started at Body Language in April of 2005. My specialties are Better Backs, Short Form Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Slow Flow Vinyasa. I come from a strong fitness background and have done it all from kickboxing, stepping, spinning, aerobics and running. After receiving knee surgery I began my yoga practice and the rest is history. I still continue to power walk and am a major lap swimmer. I have given up any impact workouts. I was a school teacher for 33 years. This is my second year of retirement. I have been married for 34 years and my husband Don and I have 2 wonderful grown boys. I thoroughly enjoy teaching at Body Language and feel so lucky to have met so many genuine, kind and friendly people.

Robin Mantay

Hi, I’m Robin – I have been doing massage since 1999, and been with Body Language since April of 2004. I am a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist. I attended Irene’s Myomassology Institute in Michigan. Then went on to get my National Certification through the NCBTMB, and am also member of the AMTA. I often take continuing education classes to keep my certification up to date and expand my modalities. I work with my clients to maintain pain control, help with relaxation, circulation and create an overall sense of well being. I use all of my modalities to tailor each session to the clients needs at that time. I truly have a passion for massage. In addition to my massage practice I am an herbal practitioner and spend much time researching and trying new all natural remedies that our good earth supplies us with. I have a very large family that stays well connected, but spend most of my time with my husband (Tom), 2 children (Jacob and Kaylyn) and 2 cats (Cassidy and Tazz). I also enjoy traveling, especially to warm sunny climates, biking, yoga, going to movies, and lots more!

Herb Kaiser

In 2002 I took my first Yoga class. It was six months later that I started a steady Yoga practice after meeting Andrea von Behren from Body Language. Everybody comes to their mats with different intentions; mine was for self-improvement, what I found was self-acceptance . Realizing how much Yoga had transformed my life I wanted to share this passion with other people, so I took my yoga teacher training with Andrea. Teaching from my own practice I offer compassion and a heart felt energy to my students. I have been blessed and fortunate enough that my work takes me to India a couple of times a year and can practice with masters there. It gives me a deep appreciation for the Body Language family. Herb's favorite food is anything from Inn Season, a vegetarian restaurant. Herb loves his trips to India and his favorite movie is Peaceful Warrior.
