andrea_welcomAt my recent Beating the Holiday Bulge seminar I shared a handful of stress management techniques to help all of us navigate through the holidays less stressed and consequently with  more energy, happier and escaping weight gain.

 

One of those techniques I identified was called "Staccato Stress Relief." It refers to the way a Staccato note is played in a musical score...it has a little dot over it indicating it is to be played briefly and then right away move on to the next note. Not long and melodious but quick and done. I share this with you in the hope that you will find some of these opportunities for Staccato Stress relief in your own life over the next month. Maybe it's a yoga class...a walk outside...a glass of wine with a friend...a massage...a weekend get away...even just a deep breath. Ahhhhhh.....


Lastly, I would like to personally invite you to a little staccato stress relief next Friday night at Body Language. We are kicking off the holidays with a Yoga Rocks slow flow class from 630-830 pm. A chance to be led through flows by me and my elves and to be inspired by an eclectic collection of holiday music. Also that same evening we are offering our first...hoping to be annual...Sip 'n' Shop event from 430-930 pm. As you stroll around with a glass of wine in hand you can pick from a variety of local vendors offering unique custom items as well as check out the new creations in my husband, Dave's Around the Corner Home Boutique. And to make shopping even better, all Body Language retail will be discounted 20 percent...who doesn't love a sale??
