Believe it or not, there is usually a method to our madness!! So when we came up with the Summer Challenge it was based on the fact that a lot of our students fall off or even disappear over the summer months. We all know that summer months are fleeting and full of all sorts of distractions, but then come Fall we see you guys back in class and on your mats all discouraged about losing strength, flexibility and often gaining a few pounds!!
So we created this challenge to keep you motivated and on track. The challenge is to “simply” take 20 different teacher's classes during the months of June, July, & August. You have until the last day of June to sign up and you can go back to the first day of June to count your classes. It's only $15 to play and all who complete the challenge get a fun BL duffel bag that we have designed just for the challenge.
Just think, you may actually find a different class or teacher that you really enjoy and, as an added bonus, your brain and your body will thank you for mixing things up!! Muscle confusion is the key to getting our bodies nudged off of plateaus and allow us to lose those unwanted pounds. Oh, and mixing it up for our brains means that we get to create new nervous pathways which helps with our moods and our memories.
So get out and enjoy this beautiful Michigan Summer but keep your health a priority all year long!
