Our dear friend Chris’ son, Chase, is getting married on Friday.   Yikes!!  Such a big week ahead for her and her family as they run around doing all the last minute errands and waking up in the middle of the night remembering that one thing no one else has already thought of.

So, although Chris is pretty good at not getting too riled when there is a lot on her plate, I felt the need to send her a friendly reminder on Monday as this big week approached.  I just encouraged her to slow down enough to take it all in and to really make a point of enjoying each moment.

How many times have all of us been so caught up in the details of some big event in our lives that we realize afterwards that we missed out on much of the joy around the event itself!!??

As i wrote this reminder to my best bud, i found myself pointing a finger back at me and guessing many of you can relate as well.   It’s just so easy for all of us to get so caught up in our busyness that we miss out on the good stuff along the way.  It doesn’t have to be a wedding or a big event in our lives.   It can just be life itself.

So, perhaps this message can serve as a reminder to all of us to slow down this week...to take lots of deep breaths...to pause and enjoy that sunset or the giggle from our child or grandchild...or to just work a little harder at being present in every moment.

Oh, and on behalf of all of your Body Language family: Here is a huge shout out to Chris and her family as they celebrate her Chase's wedding this week.  We couldn’t be happier for you all!!
Enjoy each moment...and Cheers!!!!
