Did you know that the average American gains 7 pounds between Thanksgiving and New Years??  Maybe you are painfully aware of this fact first hand, but what you probably aren’t aware of is that you can no longer just blame holiday dinners and Christmas cookies for these unwanted pounds!!  Research shows that those extra 7 pounds, that often find their way around our waistlines as we cheer in a New Year, are in large part due to the stress of the holidays!!  No one will argue that the holidays impart a fair amount of additional responsibilities.  How we navigate through this time and the choices we make about taking care of ourselves will greatly impact whether we step into the New Year heavier, stressed out and zapped of energy OR whether we spring into the New Year lighter, happier and ready to take on any challenges 2020 has in store for us! 

So on Wednesday, December 11th, I will be hanging out in the Link from 530-8 pm as part of my Wednesday Wine & Wisdom series.   These casual, pop up evenings are aimed at offering you, our students, sound nutrition advice on a variety of topics.  They also offer me an opportunity to connect and catch up with each of you!!   So stop by before or after a class or just pop in and grab a glass of wine and learn some tangible tips to offset the increased stress of the holidays.  You will leave with a list of do’s and don’t’s to refer to over the next month that will help you to more successfully keep those unwanted pounds from finding their way to your waistline over the holidays!!
