First of all, on behalf of Chris and I, we want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful time celebrating the holiday season with your friends and family. We are so grateful for our students and we are thrilled that you have found your way to our BL community!!
We are also very excited about moving into 2020 with some new classes and teachers which allows us to shake things up a bit and freshen up the schedule. Of course we are very aware that not everyone welcomes change, but as I was telling a protestor the other day, “If I didn’t go out on a limb and change a few things up from time to time over the past 23 years, we would still be wearing thongs and doing strictly step aerobics!!” Contrary to some of the chatter, we didn’t let any one go...we just shuffled things around a bit to make room for some new classes and teachers. Heck, even Chris and I gave up our only Zumba class to make room for a new class.
Here are a couple of highlights we are excited about: ✰ One is a new class called Buti yoga. Best way to describe it is big tribal yoga movement set to powerful music and it's offered on the fitness side but on your yoga mat!! Super different than anything else on the schedule. ✰ We are also offering a dance class called 305 fitness (305 is Miami’s area code where this format originated). The moves are simple to follow so it's an easy, low impact way to get your cardio in!! ✰ 5:45am - you are finally getting your Wednesday morning class you’ve been asking for! It will alternate between Power Pump and Step and Groove. Woo hoo!! ✰ And lastly for you yogis, one of the things that Chris and I learned at our last business conference was that Meditation is the biggest buzz word in the wellness industry right now. This is due in large part to its many documented benefits for managing stress. So, we are adding a third meditation class to our schedule at a time we hope will be more convenient for more of you...Wednesday’s at 10 am!! This is just to name a few of the changes. Check out your app and get yourself signed up for a class or two you’ve never tried. It’s good for your body by offering you some muscle confusion and good for your brain by creating new connections. Oh, and remember Chris’ rule...”try a class 3 times before you give it a thumbs up or down.” And after those 3 tries, we welcome all feedback. Also remember nothing is forever. While there are many factors that go into putting this giant schedule jigsaw together, our students input is first and foremost!! We do listen!!
So here’s to a New Year and a New You and lots of opportunities for Chris and I to connect with each and every one of you!!!
Cheers!!!
