Many of you might be surprised to find out that I was not always a “yogi.” In fact, when I purchased Body Language in 1997 I had never even tried a yoga class before. The reality is that it was the stress of buying this business while trying to juggle raising our 3 daughters that led me to yoga.  After seeking out the varied advice of 12 different doctors over a year in a half, I was still riddled with unexplained chronic pain throughout much of my body.  It wasn’t until I started to practice yoga that this debilitating pain began to subside.  Yoga gave me my life back…it allowed me to enjoy being a mom again…it allowed me to get back to successfully running my business and it resulted in me going to get trained to be a yoga teacher so I could  share the gifts of yoga with others.  Within 6 months of getting trained to teach yoga I decided I needed more yoga teachers and so I developed my own in house yoga teacher training program.  I remember those thoughts of self doubt…here I had just found yoga…had just been trained to teach and now I was going to turn around and train others???  But the one thought that kept overriding the doubt was that yoga had transformed my life…I had experienced it first hand and I had a story to tell. And when I thought of it that way it was almost as if I had a responsibility to share my yoga and to train others to do so as well.

So I am sharing a bit of my story with all of you because I know that there will be some who read this that maybe have similar doubts about your ability to share your yoga with others.  My suggestion to you is to let your experience with yoga be the basis of the story you have to tell.  How has yoga impacted your life?? You have valuable information that could help others in some way when you share it.  Perhaps sharing your yoga journey could actually be as a yoga teacher in a class room setting but even more likely and just as powerful could be learning more about yoga so that you can share it with others in your every day life…as a parent, a spouse, a friend or with a complete stranger!!

Would love for you to consider joining our Winter Yoga Teacher Training program which starts January 29th. (Please note that the 200 RYT training is broken down into Winter and Fall training and you must complete both sessions to receive Yoga Alliance Certification.) The training will equip you with the ammunition and knowledge to be able to better share your yoga story.  In addition to myself you will be led by an amazing group of yogis all who have extensive training in their areas of expertise.  Some names you might recognize are Ronda, Jamie, Steve, Margie, Shawn, Claudia, Courtney as well as a handful of others.  Also, you will be surrounded by an awesome group of fellow yogis all looking to immerse themselves in the practice of yoga.  Those who have completed this training have shared that it truly was a transformational experience.  I am available to personally answer any questions or concerns you have about the program. Feel free to contact me directly at andrea.bodylanguage@gmail.com.    (Oh and just a heads up that you can save $200 by signing up before the Early Bird date of January 15th!!)

Maybe its time to jump in, delve deeper, and equip yourself with more experience and knowledge to be able to share your yoga story!!

Let’s do this!!   Would love to have YOU join us!!
