What BL is all about goes WAY BEYOND our fitness & yoga classes. YES we have a top notch staff of teachers and YES we have 60 awesome classes to pick from every week. And chances are, the reason you walked through the door for the first time was to practice yoga or to workout in get in better shape. BUT what keeps you coming?? Connection!! It’s why we created the Link (the social area between the fitness & yoga rooms). Back in 2015 when we had the opportunity to take over this area, we contemplated another workout or yoga room but decided we wanted to create a space for us all to connect with one another. That’s how important we believe connecting is to the health and well-being of each and every one of us.
There are a lot of new faces at BL this time of year. Not everyone came in with a buddy to chat with. We would LOVE your help in making them feel genuinely welcome and a part of our BL family.
So here is this week’s challenge…
Introduce yourself to someone…ask his/her name…linger in the Link…have a cup of coffee or tea…invite someone to join you…maybe make a new friend…maybe just re-connect with someone you haven’t seen in a while…pick a new place to put your mat in yoga or to stand in fitness…ask someone what their favorite class is and then maybe arrange to take it with him/her…ask a new face how long they’ve been coming to BL…put your mat next to someone new in yoga…high five the person next to you in fitness…
We want every person walking through the door of BL to feel like BL is their second home. To feel that sense of being a part of something bigger than himself/herself. To feel connected!!
Thank you BL peeps for doing your part to foster this sense of connectivity. You might just make a new friend along the way but if nothing else, you might just make someone’s day!!
