I just wanted to take a few minutes of your time to explain our sign in, cancellation and waitlist policies as well as our rationale for having these guidelines in place. Ultimately these rules are in place in an effort to create the most positive client experience possible.
So, first of all, you are able to sign in for classes 1 week in advance. Once you are signed into class, you can cancel out of any class up until 1 hour prior to the start of each class. If you late cancel, after that 1 hour window, you will be charged a $10 late cancellation fee. This fee is charged to encourage students to cancel prior to 1 hour before class which allows those who are waitlisted time to be notified and show up for class. If you were waitlisted for class and there is an opening, you will be automatically put into the class up until 1 hour before class.
One of the challenges that we are often faced with and trying to avoid is waitlisted students hanging out at the desk to see if there is a spot open. We are trying to avoid this scenario as it creates a lot of chaos. Maybe there is a person in class who is running a few minutes late and we allow another student to take his/her spot and then he/she shows up. Or maybe there are several students waiting around which puts manager in awkward position of having to pick who gets in and who doesn’t. The bottom line is that we really don’t want your $10, but we feel it is imperative to have this policy in place so that those who were waitlisted and hoping to get into class have every opportunity to do so. Make sense? Also we know that things come up and if you have an extenuating circumstance that just wont allow you to get to class, just give us a call and we will pull you out of class with no charge. (But PLEASE don’t’ make a habit of this!!).
