Today I’m highlighting 2 BL yoga teachers who have recently found their way back to BL after being gone for a few years…

Angela found BL in 2015 and in her words: “immediately fell in love.” Angela also shared that what began as an effort to carve out one hour for herself a week as a stay-at-home mom of three, quickly turned into a passion that has enhanced her life in every possible way. After seeing the powerful and life changing effects of yoga in her own life, she knew she needed to share this gift with others.

I remember receiving a phone call from Angela when I was out at a business conference in California just a week before teacher training was to begin at BL. She had read my antics saying that there was probably someone out there who could really benefit from joining our training program, and she felt it was her!! At that time Angela was going through a lot of major challenges in her personal life. She completed her yoga teacher training in the fall of 2016 and, once again, in her words, “was honored to be a part of the amazing, fun, energizing and supportive community here at Body Language.” Some things you likely don’t know about Angela is that she home schools her 3 children, she works with expectant moms as a doula…and she will be teaching pre and post-natal yoga as part of our teacher training program in the fall.

Angela, we are happy to have you a part of our BL community and sharing your love for yoga with all of us once again.

The first word that comes to my mind when I think of Jen David is FUN!! I have known Jen for years and she has always been upbeat, positive and a fun person to be around. We have sung Karaoke together, (I Got You Babe by Sonny and Cher to be exact) and even made a pact to get our noses pierced together (of course she followed through and I chickened out). Jen went through BL’s yoga teacher training program back in 2007 ish and taught for BL for 7 years before venturing out on her own for a few years.  Her “fun ness” has permeated into her style of yoga classes as she adds in her athletic, fitness, kick ass “spice” as she calls it!! Jen’s husband, JD, calls her Jenny and she has three children who call her mom!! Some trivia about Jen is that she is an avid Sparty, she has been to over 80 Jimmy Buffet fan concerts (what??), she loves golf, paddle and pickleball, she spends lots of times outdoor and upnorth and recently picked up a side gig waiting tables at Main Street in Milford.  Ok and Jen, I would be remiss in not mentioning the ugly argyle sweater that you showed up in at her first wine weekend. Let’s just say Chris and I bonded with her over making fun of her conservative wardrobe choice for a girls wine weekend.

Jen we couldn’t be more thrilled that your life journey has brought you back to BL. We love having you back in our space!!
