As most of you already know, my husband Dave is our resident artist. He is truly a jack of all trades when it comes to art. All the custom wood furniture for sale at BL are his creations as are all beautifully faux finished walls. In fact, his most recent undertaking was giving a face lift to 3 of our bathrooms which so many of you have commented on and appreciated. But Dave actually starting his artistic journey on canvas. The paintings outside my office are all his. As you wander back to check his paintings you, will notice he has a very eclectic style…from landscapes, to wine glasses, to horses to bourbon to bunnies…and more!! If he sees it, he can paint it. He loves to create but he also loves to teach others to create as well. So we’ve created a series called Sip n’ Stroke. It’s simply an evening designated to teach 12 bodies how to paint a picture of their own. In January he taught those who attended how to paint a mountain landscape and next week, Friday May 9th, he will be teaching students to paint a sailboat. Cost to attend is just $55 and includes all supplies. I’ll be there to watch (nope I don’t paint) and serve you a glass of your favorite beverage.
