I wanted to take a few moments to tell you about the food items we sell at Body Language and why. If you happened to attend my nutrition seminar last fall on the Gut Brain Connection, you already know that Read More

If you’ve been at BL for a while you probably remember the challenge we did in the past called March Madness. Basically, the gist of it was to take 20 classes in the month of March and you win a prize. The reason we created this challenge was to keep everyone’s head in the game. We all start out the New Year with a bang…committed to getting more fit and then Read More
A couple of weekends ago, I was up north in Traverse for a girls’ weekend and we decided to include a winery amongst our activities. (I know…go figure!!). As I was sitting there I was reminded of a story I had shared a few years ago that I thought warranted repeating. It went something like this…Read More
Last week Ricky was asking me and Chris for an idea for our "Positive Word of the Week" board as we were walking out the door…and Chris said, “Yes.” Chris’ intention was to say “Yes” like I’ll think about a word but then Ricky said ok, “Yes” and Chris said…oh, ok…YES…that’s a perfect word. It’s been great seeing so many new and returning students
the past couple of weeks. BL is so excited to be part of your
journey to take better care of yourself in 2024. But, that being

So twice a year, I offer a nutrition seminar geared at arming all
of you with knowledge and tools to manage your health and your
waistlines more effectively. The next one is Wednesday, February
7th and is titled Mood, Mind, & Appetite.
While most of my nutrition seminars focus on what and what not to
eat, this one is a little different.Read More
Some of you might be surprised to know I haven’t always been a group exercise person. I’ve always worked out, but for years it was just walking outside or on a treadmill. Then, in 1993, one of my girlfriends suggested I try out this place called Body Language on M-59. I remember my first reaction was: "why would I want to spend money to work out when I could just hop on my treadmill or walk around the block?" But she was persistent so I gave it a try. Well….needless to say, Read More
This past week was a BIG week at BL!! We had our monthly manager meeting and our bi-annual staff meeting both on Tuesday. As you might imagine, a lot of prep goes into these meetings to keep this big ship we call BL running smoothly!! One of the things Chris and I have done Read More
